MONCLER GAMME BLEU FW16: A BACKSTAGE STORY
Thom Browne and Moncler Gamme Bleu are such a great fit. Moncler, a French-born winter wear House, is best know for its highly qualitative, technological clothing made for the winter-related activities, while the American designer Thom Browne is no more to be introduced and has reshaped the face of men’s tailoring with his eccentric, dreamy, yet perfectly sharp take on clothing. With Browne, there is always a clear story, and though his shows are always a suspended moment of poetry, spectacle, or amazement, his designs have the ability to speak for themselves. This season, camouflage had the place of honor. We can maybe see in this Moncler Gamme Bleu collection a call for self-protection, but let us not overthink. Let us just appreciate the intricate textile work with this grey, blue, red and white camouflage, the incredible layering and styling that give this collection its powerful impact and everlasting imprint.
