DISCOVER THE CHANEL SPRING-SUMMER 2017 HAUTE COUTURE SHOW
This season, we will discover the Chanel Spring-Summer 2017 Haute Couture collection inside a 1930s Art Deco atmosphere, complete with mirrors, beige sofas, and a large kaleidoscope placed in the middle of the runway. The models, with slicked hair and original, radiant dresses, depict a crazy kind of femininity that is fun and delightful. For next spring and summer, Karl Lagerfeld has revealed an obsession for belts. Belts everywhere: marking women’s waist, placed on tweed suits, short dresses, and coats, along with belts that highlight an extreme femininity. As usual, tweed plays an important role in the collection, but this season it is combined with bowler hats and silver collars. Pleated skirts and dresses pair with coats in iridescent tweeds, while sequins appear on numerous dresses. As for the evening dresses, Chanel opts for noble fabrics such as organza, tulle, jacquard, radzimir, and duchess satin. For the finale, Lily-Rose Depp appeared in a wonderful wedding gown composed of diaphanous flounces in pale pink organza. This beautiful ode to femininity pays tribute to party girls, businesswomen, and women in general.
