BACKSTAGE JACQUEMUS FALL WINTER 2017/18 COLLECTION – PARIS

On Tuesday evening, Jacquemus presented his collection at Porte de la Villette, an outlying district of Paris, witnessing traffic jams and Parisian horns. Despite the fact that we had to cross all Paris, to ask the kindness of the taxi driver to accelerate the pace because « show starts on time », we could not under any circumstances miss this appointment. After « Les Santons », Jacquemus returns with his second opus « L’amour d’un gitan » – literally « The love of a gypsy ». A collection that – once again – gives us a piece of Provence. Here, it is told in black and white, with horned bullfighters hats, peas printed on folded tops and the unconditional oversized jackets and coats and winged shoulders. Finally, blossoming his creative verve in geometric shapes, here, the bags are carried upside down.

In the hangar of the Paris Event Center, the gypsies of Jacquemus were thus victorious and full of life.
