KENZO NO FISH NO NOTHING

By Crash redaction

The California raised Creative Directors of Kenzo, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon were born and raised with a love for the ocean and a sense of responsibility to protect its natural beauty and marine life. It was therefore a natural source of inspiration for their Spring/Summer 14 collection, however the inspiration didn’t stop there. Lim and Leon were inspired to join forces with the Blue Marine Foundation (BLUE) to combat marine pollution, overfishing, and the destruction of marine life by taking a fresh new approach to raise awareness and inspire passion to the masses.
« Fashion is one of the most powerful ways to communicate and Kenzo wanted to help us explain the crisis facing our oceans », said Chris Gorell Barnes (Co-founder of BLUE). On Thursday March 21st to Thursday March 27th 2014 Kenzo and the Blue Marine Foundation are proud to launch their ‘No Fish No Nothing Digital Pop-Up’ store featuring an ultra-oceanic line of Kenzo unisex sweaters and tee-shirts with water coloured designs strokes and the slogan « No Fish No Nothing ».
The Pop-Up will take place at 11 Rue Debelleyme, 75003 to allow all visitors the opportunity to join in this exciting and meaningful venture. Within the store visitors will find an enormous digital fish tank, where fish are added by means of making a ‘No Fish No Nothing’ purchase or by Instagraming a photo with the hashtag #nofishnonothing. Periodically, the number of fish in the tank will decrease by 30% to visually demonstrate the coinciding approximation of marine species which are threatened by extinction each day in our oceans.
‘No Fish No Nothing’ pieces will be sold in Kenzo stores, online and other participating retailers. To purchase directly from the e-store visit kenzo.com, and be sure to visit bluemarinefoundation.com for more information on their work with Kenzo and around the globe.
