LE QUOTIDIEN DE L’ART ISSUE 1000 IS OUT TODAY FEATURING SPECIAL ARTISTS PROJECTS

Today, Le Quotidien de l’Art comes out with its 1000th issue featuring special artists projects. Digital reference for the art market, Le Quotidien de l’Art is a daily newspaper about art and design printed at the occasion of contemporary art fairs. Special partner of FIAC in 2015, during which it published a special issue for each day of the fair highlighting the best news of the day, the newspaper gathers an important number of informations and gives perspective on specific art market issues. For its 1000th issue, the first time that an art newspaper achieves this result in France, Le Quotidien de l’Art decided to give free rein on its pages to 50 artists from all backgrounds and generations. The artists contributed to the newspaper realizing special works focusing on the theme of « art in daily life ». Responding to its commitment to support the French contemporary art scene and its artists, this is also a special occasion for the newspaper to go beyond boundaries giving a forward-thinking content to its readers. Amongst others, we find in its pages the work of Crash Publisher and Creative Director Frank Perrin, talking about his project « White Cube is to rent » : an investigation of thirty-six photographs about how the artistic concept of « architectural inevitability » represented by the White Cube is nowadays reused in the « Real Estate » market. Exploring the theme of « capitalism-artist » relationship through the analogy between the White Cube gallery and the real estate business, Frank Perrin gives as a result a series of 25cm2 photographs of empty spaces questioning the nowadays art market and its future. Definitely something to think about with all changes that the artistic fields are experiencing today.
