INSIDE MAXMARA SS16 MILAN RUNWAY

This season, the Max Mara show dives us into the unavoidable, still unlimited sea-world. Ian Griffiths, Max Mara’s creative director, got indeed inspired by the sailor theme. He imagined a nautical collection made of maletot stripes, pea-coats, and printed stars. For the color palette, the designer chose to enlighten off-white and beige with bold yellow, vivid red and royal blue. Breaking the codes by mixing stripes and stars, playing with their size and adding ropes, elementary sailor detail, gave a touch of freshness to the very chic collection. Thereby, for the upcoming spring-summer, the Maxmara woman will be escaping humdrum, wearing comfy jumpers, silk pants and oversized lightweight coats, all in elegance.
