This year, the Accessories Council Excellence honored Nancy Gonzalez with the ACE award for Innovation. The ceremony took place on November 2nd, at Cipriani in New York City. The ACE Awards are meant for companies, individuals, retailers and designers who have made a lasting and meaningful contribution to the world of accessories. Their contribution have been memorable and have history changing impact on the market. Nancy Gonzalez is one of the few Houses that has had a major impact on the accessories industry, and continues to pursue excellence and innovation through its designs. Colombia-born Nancy Gonzalez is one of the most celebrated handbag designers in the world, and is known for her dedication to innovation and quality, by using precious skins and a distinct color palette, which give her creations their timelessness. In 2007, Nancy Gonzalez was honored with the ACE award for « Brand of the Year », an achievement made possible by Santiago Barberi Gonzalez, son of Nancy Gonzalez. Both President and Creative Director of Nancy Gonzalez, Santiago Barberi Gonzalez took the Nancy Gonzalez House to the top.
