SCHIAPARELLI ZODIAC JACKET: A TRIBUTE TO ELSA

This season, Schiaparelli artistic director Bertrand Guyon pays tribute to the visionary and imaginative Elsa Schiaparelli and her “Astrology” Collection. Indeed, this legendary collection from 1938-1939 memorably featured inspirations from the solar system and the constellations. Certainly one of the collection’s most groundbreaking pieces was the Zodiac Jacket, which the House has reissued this winter with Lesage embroideries of all the Zodiac signs placed on the front of the jacket. Embodying this iconic blazer is the socialite jewelry designer, businesswoman, and artist Sabine Getty, a strong and creative woman just as Elsa Schiaparelli was all her life. The jacket is available exclusively at 21, Place Vendôme, the historic location where Elsa once created her lavish dresses – a choice redolent with symbolism.
