TEES BY PAUL SMITH FOR DAVID BOWIE

Paul Smith has teamed up with David Bowie to create the official T-shirt of the album The Next day.

The illustration was designed by Jonathan Barnbrook and inspired from « Heroes » Bowie’s album cover. It was photographed by Masayoshi Sukita, one of Paul Smith’s friends whose work was recently  exhibited in Paul Smith’s space gallery in Tokyo. The T-shirt is in organic cotton and signed ‘Paul Smith for David Bowie’.

And the collaboration doesn’t seem to stop here. « David Bowie wore a lot of Paul Smith during his career and I was delighted when he asked me if I wanted to do the official T-shirt for his album The Next Day. There will also be a few other surprises later in the year.  »

The men’s piece is available since March 7th on website www.paulsmith.co.uk and in Paul Smith stores since March 8th.

The woman’s piece is only available on  website www.paulsmith.co.uk since March 7th.
