A NEW CHANEL STORE ON RUE CAMBON

By Crash

It’s a common fact that the rue Cambon in Paris is emblematic for Coco Chanel, who opened her first haute-couture store at the number 31 of that very street in 1918. Throughout the years, Chanel has acquired more and more numbers of the street and today, the house is announcing the launch of a new space at 19 rue Cambon. The 1500 square meters store spreads over three historical buildings, encompassing different architectural styles and eras. The rue Cambon is most definitely Chanel’s stomping ground.

Accessible by the rue Saint-Honoré and the rue Duphot, the boutique presents the whole Chanel universe, with fashion, beauty, jewelry and watches sold throughout the space. From the entrance to the reception lounge, 28 art pieces from 20 different artists are shown. Hanging from the highest floor to the ground, Große Treppe is 14 metres long and is composed of many pieces of vinyls, steel and fabric. We’ll also be able to see two camellia collages by Peter Dayton.
