AKRIS S/S 2020

By Crash

Yesterday’s Spring/Summer 2020 Akris show celebrated ten years of the Ai bag, the classic tote that Albert Kriemler decided to fold into a trapezoidal silhouette derived from the A in Akris and his first name. Today, it is considered to be a signature visual for the house. The looks of the collection followed that idea, with breezy layered looks in hues of white, mandarin, navy blue and metallic pearl. Everything about the show screamed purity and light with an all-white space. Some of the pieces were inspired by Italian artist Antonio Calderara whose geometric abstract paintings were translated into silver tonal shapes.
