MONCLER GRENOBLE FALL-WINTER 2016, NEW YORK

Moncler Grenoble presented his Fall-Winter 2016 collection at the Lincoln Center Plaza was accompanied by an artistic performance mixing dance and active sport paying tribute to team spirit. Starting with a group of 80 models and performers wearing blue outwear, the performance was inspired by the choreographies having place before sportive competitions in American universities and happened in perfect synchronisation and harmony. The collection was once again a sublimation of sportswear technology and urban style. Focusing on lightness of fabrics as the ultimate luxury, the collection is made of tightened pieces – as far as ski sportswear can be – to valorise forms even during the coldest winter. The puffa coats become more sophisticated, matelassé or patent with embroideries for a more feminine touch or colourful furs paired with fluffy boots and aviator hats. For him, tartan prints are the new black: revisited in all combinations, they made a perfect outfit for ski time made in elastic and stretched fabrics. The whole collection is characterised by a dynamic and modern spirit emphasised by geometrical prints and dizzying colours that elevate the brand to much more than the traditional ski and sportswear fashion house.
