Bottega Veneta Fall-Winter 2015

For this Fall-Winter 2015 collection, Tomas Maier took inspiration in every woman’s own creativity and nonchalant sense of style. In his approach, Maier came to be very audacious and completely departed from the usual Bottega Veneta aesthetic, while managing to keep the brand’s identity in the clothes’ intentions. There is always this meticulous attention to detail and the use of exquisite fabrics, two strong pillars of the Bottega Veneta DNA. Silk, satin and lance respond to woolen jumpers and give the collection this sense of fluidity. The Nappa leather – signature fabric of the House – highlights the structure of the Monaco bag. But what makes this collection so unique and so new are the contrasts, the merging of opposites. With polka dots as a common thread to be found on dresses, skirts, tops and pants, the silhouettes appear very precise, sometimes even sharp with those large, 90°-angle shoulders, and reference the menswear wardrobe with that feminine touch. For this Bottega Veneta Fall-Winter 2015 collection, Tomas Maier was not afraid to push his vision to the next level, a level of greatness in complete symbiosis with today’s conception of fashion.
