CHANEL MÉTIERS D’ART COLLECTION : ONCE AND FOREVER BY KARL LAGERFELD

On December 1^st 2015, the Chanel Métiers d’art collection will to be unveiled in Rome. Karl Lagarfeld has chosen to show his collection at Cinecittà, the legendary film studio complex. Cinecittà had its golden age in the 60s thanks to the biggest names in Italian cinema and the Hollywood blockbusters made there. There, as the prelude to the show, Karl Lagerfeld will present his latest short film, Once and forever, that tells the story of a lively film production and takes place behind the scenes, from the costume tests and script meetings to the screen tests. The film was made in Paris and features Kristen Stewart and Geraldine Chaplin, who play the roles of actresses preparing to star in a film as Gabrielle Chanel at different ages. While Geraldine Chaplin embodies Gabrielle Chanel for the fourth time, it is the first time for Kristen Stewart. “She can look like Chanel, and I wanted to show Chanel through all the decades of her life and the comeback in the 1950’s,” said Karl Lagerfeld. Thereby, Kristen Stewart reaffirms her status as Chanel muse. She will also be the face of the advertising campaign for the Paris-Rome 2015/16 Métiers d’art collection to be photographed by Karl Lagerfeld and unveiled in May 2016. The cast of Once and forever also includes Jérémie Elkaïm, François Marthouret, Amanda Harlech, Jamie Bochert, Jake Davies, Baptiste Giabiconi and Laura Brown.
