CRASH 73 DISRUPTION

Crash collaborates with international artist Lawrence Weiner

In the space between art and fashion, in the fissures between disciplines, the American artist and founder of conceptual art Lawrence Weiner performs an artistic intervention on our cover, becoming the first in a series of artists to appear on the cover of each issue.Through his contribution, Weiner has anchored this issue in time and made it a collector’s edition, by interacting with the faces of established or emerging top models Mae Lapres, Camille Hurel, and Soo Jo Park.

Disruption between fashion and architecture, as we tour Palm Springs and its “desert architecture” for the Vuitton Cruise collection, stop by Seoul to see Kitty Hayes embody the spirit of Chanel in Zaha Hadid’s Design Plaza, or at Antti Lovag’s Bubble House where Ilona Smet presents the Dior Cruise collection, and end our journey in Rome for the fiftieth anniversary of Karl Lagerfeld at Fendi.

More disruption with Nicolas Godin, who is building on his work with Air by exploring classical music… We also meet with Joachim Trier, whose latest feature “Louder Than Bombs” sees Isabelle Huppert play a war photographer who dies by her own hand. In this way, the film probes a question that remains all too relevant today: how to continue to live in a world where so many horrors take place every day? Cinema always, with the Luca Guadagnino’s much-awaited new feature film « A Bigger Splash », a new take on the iconic « La Piscine ».
