DESIGUAL NEW, AGAIN AND AGAIN : A CIRCULAR DENIM COLLECTION WITH RECYCLED AND RECYCLABLE CLOTHING

By Crash redaction

Desigual continues its strong commitment to sustainability by launching its first circular denim collection. It includes four exclusive garments, a pant, a skirt, a blazer and a dress, available both on desigual.com and in physical stores.
The Circular Denim Project demonstrates Desigual’s commitment to responsible and more sustainable processes. In fact, some of the denim that has reached the end of its useful life is recycled to create easily recyclable clothes.

To ensure maximum transparency, the brand has developed a series of audiovisual documents in the form of episodes that highlight the process that led to the creation of each model.

In episode I, is shown the work and collaboration with the Fundació CEO Maresme (Barcelona), which promotes the integration of people with disabilities in the labor market and participates in this project by removing the trimmings present on the jeans.
Episode II, is about the  facilities of Belda Llorèns (Alicante), where the remains of denim are transformed into yarn, after being cut into very small pieces and mixed with BCI cotton. Then, in Textil Santanderina (Cantabria), a new fabric is made from this mixture.
In episode III, Desigual opens up the doors of the headquarters in Barcelona. This episode shows the sustainable process behind the making of the garments.

Love the World is our platform to improve our brand day by day. It is through this platform that we develop all our sustainability programs and initiatives, with the aim of reducing our environmental impact and ensuring that as a brand we can have a positive footprint. The Circular Denim Project is part of this initiative.
