FASHION EAST CELEBRATES TWENTY YEARS OF CREATION

By Crash

This London Fashion Week marks the twentieth anniversary of the talent incubator Fashion East, it’s already been twenty years since Lulu Kennedy staged her first multi-designer show to promote young and innovative ideas. Kennedy has been capital in London’s fashion evolution, putting the spotlight on designers like Simone Rocha or Jonathan Anderson who have since established themselves as respected names globally.

‘Looking back over twenty years of helping London’s best designers is wild! I’m incredibly grateful I’ve been able to do what I love doing best. I wouldn’t change a thing. It is an honour to get to work with and present these four fabulous talents this season. I am in awe of their visions, creativity, optimism and the resilience they have shown throughout these difficult circumstances. ’ – says Lulu Kennedy.

For this special edition, Fashion East is welcoming young promising designers Maximilian Davis, Saul Nash, Nensi Dojaka and GOOMHEO. Facing the challenges of social distancing, the traditional fashion shows will be replaced by SS21 virtual film premieres which will air on Sunday 20 September at 6:30 GMT.
