PROUVÉ RAW OFFICE EDITION: A SECOND COLLABORATION BETWEEN G-STAR AND VITRA

The first collection of the collaboration between the Prouvé family and G-Star RAW for Vitra was a huge success. And the adventure is not about to stop. Since Friday G-Star RAW launched its new collection in collaboration with the Prouvé family, in memory of Jean Prouvé’s exceptional body of work in design and architecture. The presentation took place at the Quai d’Austerlitz in Paris, and highlights a sharp selection of furniture and lamps exclusively designed by Jean Prouvé in the 1940’s. During his career, the architect became a true master in the art of design and architecture with inimitable creativity and ability to design objects with both visual appeal and utility. His boundless imagination led him to create amazing pieces, such as the work he achieved at the Austerlitz station in 1953. Now, G-Star RAW and Vitra chose to work with the artist’s archives and in collaboration with his family to reinterpret desks and furnitures he conceived years ago. G-Star RAW managed to give a modern and contemporary touch to these pieces thanks a to a strong artistic direction. This collection Prouvé RAW Office Edition is truly a unique experience, that pays tribute to Jean Prouvé and its greatness.

An installation in collaboration with SNCF was presented from September 25th to 26th at the Austerlitz Station, leading to a Jean Prouvé retrospective from October 1st to 13th at SILVERA called: « Jean Prouvé, Architecture and Furnitures »

The collection will be available from 1st September 2015 to 31th December 2016.
