KENZO TIME

By Crash redaction

KENZO – known and loved for its cool, street vibe – is launching a new timepiece collection as of May 2014.

KENZO TIME is the result of an exclusive collaboration between the brand and watchmaker TWC Swiss. The collection, which is inspired by the brand’s past and present history, maintains the brands constant eye towards the future. Offering nine different lines that all represent an aspect of their identity, the collection counts pieces both for men and women.

Creative Directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon take this collection as a way to show their deep interest in new technologies, connectivity and as a platform to express their personalities as individuals and as a brand. Each piece of the collection enjoys its own identity, with particular colours, textures and innovative elements. All of which consist in the avant-garde spirit of the brand in the fashion horizon today.

Among the nine lines, one can notice the “70” watch, referencing the birth of the KENZO house back in 1970 with the opening of the Jungle Jap store in Paris. The “3-point” watch allies design and functionality with its three dials, each one dedicated to hours, minutes and seconds. Finally the “Tiger Head” watch pays homage to the pioneering spirit of the creative duo, which introduced the tiger’s head in 2012 in the spirit of the “jungle fever”.

All these timekeepers – and more – are available in preview as from May the 4th in selected Louis Pion stores as well as in European KENZO stores and on www.kenzo.com. The collection will be found in all KENZO stores starting September 2014.
