An installation was created especially for the event by AI researcher and professor Kate Crawford and artist and researcher Trevor Paglen. Titled “Making Faces”, the piece included art projects and architectural modifications around data gathering, surveillance and facial recognition. Some of the talks included “The History of the Face” by Simone Browne, Stephanie Dick, Xiaochang Li and Sarah Myers West, “Artists on Fascism and Faces” by Kate Crawford, Heather Dewey-Hagborg, Trevor Paglen and Hito Steyerl. A dinner was also co-hosted by Vogue Paris and Prada with a menu designed by famous French chef Cyril Lignac.
