ROCHA’S « THE EYES HAS TO TRAVEL » FW24 COLLECTION

By Iris Jeanson

Rochas made a triumphant return to the heart of Paris with the Fall-Winter 2024 collection, designed by Alessandro Vigilante. Titled « The Eyes Has To Travel » the collection pays homage to founder Marcel Rochas, infusing simplicity and youthfulness with a modern sensuality.

The presentation, set in the Hôtel d’Evreux on Place Vendôme, featured a salon draped in hibiscus pink, creating a romantic backdrop for a journey inspired by a 1939 photograph by Carlo Mollino entitled “Fairytales For Adults”. The collection unfolds like a portrait of women, blending jewel tones, precious textures, and exquisite detailing.

From trousseau to boudoir, each piece tells a story through shimmering velvet, Art Deco lace, and quilted satin in goldfinch yellow, margarita, ice blue, emerald, orangeade, and champagne. Metallics, dry tweeds, and opalescent surfaces add depth, while embellishments like crystal bows on kitten heels infuse a sense of theatrical glamour.

Rochas Fall-Winter 2024 is a celebration of feminine allure, a fusion of fantasy and timeless elegance that cements Alessandro Vigilante’s mark in the fashion industry.
