SALVATORE FERRAGAMO / COSMIC JAM

By Crash redaction

During italian’s most known men’s tradeshow Pitti Uomo in Florence, Fondazione Ferragamo  has set up a creative competition in order to support young and upcoming talents.

« Cosmic Jam » is a project that  aims to promote and showcase hand craftmanship made in Italy, offering young artists the chance to grow and learn, in line with the aesthetics and signature style of Salvatore Ferragamo.
Inspired by illustrator Scott McCloud’s « 24 hours Cosmic Day », competitors are asked to complete an eight page cosmic strip in only eight hours, with « shoes » as the main common subject (according to the brand’ s current exhibition  » The amazing shoemaker « ).
Three winner will be chosen by a jury of comic strip authors and will be given the chance to train and improve their art abilities at prestigious school and display their work at different comic strip exhibitions.
