SOUVENIRS OF LE LOUVRE: HARRY NURIEV REIMAGINES ART MEMORABILIA

By Iris JEANSON

The Louvre Museum invites the artist and designer Harry Nuriev to create a collection of charms and objects inspired by its decorative arts. Known for his innovative approach, Nuriev transforms traditional souvenirs into contemporary, jewel-like collectibles using his signature « silverization » technique.

This collection features a chair, chandelier, candlestick, table, teapot, sword, vase, and mirror—miniaturized and encased like fine jewelry. These enigmatic pieces encourage unique combinations and personal curation.

“I want visitors to experience art as a dynamic dialogue and constantly evolving between history and modernity, where each object transcends its simple status and takes part in a wider interactive story” says Nuriev.

The collection includes a metal pen, two plates, four magnets, fifteen charms, a notebook, and two pop-up postcards. Available since January 24 at the Louvre’s bookstore and online at boutique.louvre.fr under Louvre Couture, each piece is accompanied by immersive visuals linking them to the museum’s historic setting.
