THE CHANEL METIERS D’ART SHOW TAKES PLACE TODAY

By Crash redaction

For its sixteenth year celebrating the incredible craftsmanship of each atelier involved in garment-making, Chanel has decided to stage its Metiers d’Art show in Hamburg, none other than the hometown of legendary head designer Karl Lagerfeld. Each year the event takes place in a different city, from Dallas to Tokyo, making it the only traveling runway show of the house.

The venue of the show has not been chosen randomly, since it is the Elbphilarmonie, an amazing concert hall made of glass, resembling a big wave splashing through the city and designed by the architect duo Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron. Inaugurated at the beginning of the year, the building is the tallest and most imposing of Hamburg and has been highly anticipated. Crash will be there to discover the collection!
