MAX MARA FALL WINTER 2016: A BACKSTAGE STORY

Last week, Max Mara presented their Fall Winter 2016 collection in Milan. The show, with a strong Bauhaus influence, took the House back to its roots of incredible outerwear. Variations of long camel coats opened the show, and touches of gold made the colors pop. Definitely bold, the collection introduces bright colors such as orange, yellow and green whether on head-to-toe looks or mixing them on striped mohair pullovers and skirts. With a red lip, black leather gloves, and round sunglasses, the Max Mara woman takes her cues from the artistic figures of the 1920s. The now iconic Whitney bag appears in new colors such as khaki and purple, and adds to the overall play on proportions mixing floor-lenght coats with high-waisted shorts paired with fishnet stockings.
