DISCOVER THE PSYCHEDELIC AND INSPIRING UNIVERSE OF THE Y/PROJECT FALL WINTER 2017/18 MENS COLLECTION
This season, Y/Project presented its fashion show at Le Globo, an underground bar decorates in a beautiful baroque style: an intimate atmosphere that contrasts drastically with the heavy metal, psychedelic soundtrack. Both of these musical inspirations appear in the collection with destructured silhouettes, extra long coats, or original belts. As usual, the creations are astonishing and avant-gardist, as evidenced by the scarves unexpectedly printed with the faces of Napoleon and Joséphine de Beauharnais, the gold glittered accessories that we noticed around belts, or the safety boots revisited in camo. From the safari beige silhouette and the funky hand on the belt, to the all denim look and oversize extra long coat, everything was in place to make this Fall-Winter 2017/18 fashion show a memorable event. At Y/Project, men face winter with style and originality. Outerwear supplied the most interesting pieces this season, with oversized denim jackets, deconstructed red printed coats, or silver varnish trench coats. Moreover, we saw oversized fleece sweatshirts, lined silk shirts and denim jackets, sweatshirts and pants with wired piping, and Football knits cross the runway. The top piece: a surrealistic hand sculpture, hooked up to a multi-belt. In a nutshell, Y/Project revealed a unique collection: eclectic, transgressive, and so very fresh.
