GUCCI RESORT 2016 COLLECTION NEW YORK
By Crash redaction
Resort 2016 was Alessandro Michele’s second womenswear collection for Gucci. Continuing in the spirit of his first collection for the newly reinvented Italian brand that made quite a splash during the Fall-Winter 2015/16 season in Milan, Michele showed in New York a collection that mixed 60’s and 70’s inspirations. Vivid colors like purple, pink, light blue and yellow created a bold mix in addition to the multiple textures the designer offered. From lace to Lurex and fur, the silhouettes and shapes are nothing but ordinary. The collection presented both womenswear and menswear pieces, always in the spirit of androgyny.
