ACNE STUDIOS UNVEILS ITS NEW CAMPAIGN

For its brand new SS19 campaign, Acne Studios called up Juergen Teller who shot some striking images of one of the best basketball players of his generation, Russel Westbrook. The crisp photos showcase the Oklahoma City Thunder player in the house’s iconic denim. Following the last campaign featuring supermodel legend Cindy Crawford, Acne Studios continues to pay tribute to all American icons. Teller’s raw aesthetic may seem like a perfect match for the Swedish brand but it is actually his first time shooting a campaign for Jonny Johansson. He stated: “I was very excited to shoot for Acne Studios. They seem so free and fun and experimental, and you can feel the sense of enthusiasm and excitement that they have. They were completely behind us, and when I have that trust I can open myself and make my best work.” 

The 30-year old NBA superstar is known for his love for fashion and wasn’t shy to express how he felt towards the ready-to-wear brand: “I was already a huge fan of Acne Studios, so I was really excited when they asked me to be the face for their new campaign. I really identify with Acne Studios because their aesthetic is very unique, and I like to be unique too.”
