ADIDAS REDEFINES FEMININITY

By Crash

To celebrate the launch of the Adidas Originals by Olivia Oblanc capsule collection, the three-striped brand came out with a fashion film starring young models Léna Simonne, Clara Berry and Hanna Lhoumeau. Called “Bad Influence », the video was shot by the new Paris-based production company Kinoproby, created by two Belorussians. Together they have worked around the new ways to approach established rules of femininity by showing girls having fun and feeling free, without any social pressure to act a certain way. They took inspiration from the way women are depicted in post Soviet countries and how mentalities have evolved over there, thanks to a strong youth culture.

The collection, designed by the young Olivia Oblanc, is meant to be gender-fluid with pieces rooted in sportswear and workwear. She took cues from vintage Adidas pieces, from hoodies to track tops, and brought them up to date. The collection is available on adidas.com, select Adidas Original flagships and select wholesalers.
