Realised by Asghar Farhad, «The past» is an upocoming 2013 French drama movie which currently contest for the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival.

The Past starring Berenice Bejo, Tahar Rahim and Ali Mosaffa. Film is about an Iranian man, who has ongoing domestic problems with his French wife. He deserts her and his two children to go back to his homeland, Iran.

Asghar Farhad’s previous movie « A Separation » won an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a French Cesar for best foreign film earlier in 2012 as well as Berlin’s Golden Bear in 2011.
