Dior unveiled its 2022 Cruise collection in Greece.

For the occasion, the house of Dior is highlighting the culture, the splendor and heritage of Greece. This event took place at the Panathenaic Stadium, a treasure of antiquity, one of the most  prestigious monuments of Athens. With its grandiose volumes, this place, evoking the exceptional setting that perfectly matches the collection’s inspirations, which combines the power of the collection, of heritage and contemporary inventiveness. This new event reinforces the precious and creative ties that unite Dior with Greece. For this collection, Maria Grazia Chiuri has collaborated with several Greek workshops that perpetuate with virtuosity of invaluable techniques, combining tailoring and embroidery, but also jacquards and passementerie. In the name of this beauty of gesture that fascinates her, whose own culture is itself at the crossroads of different countries, the ancient peplum, an absolute synthesis of clothing and a return to the basics, will be at the heart of this Dior line. For each Dior collection, hundreds of craftsmen join forces, cultures interact under the banner of preservation, sharing and open-mindedness, values that have always been dear to Dior. This fashion show took place with absolute respect for the Athenian monuments and the Panathenaic Stadium. The Dior house have worked hand in hand with Greek archaeologists to ensure this total and unconditional protection.
