EXCLUSIVE : FENDI MEN’S SS24 DROP

By Roisin Breen

Crash has the exclusive first look drop of Fendi’s Men’s Spring/Summer campaign featuring Chinese actor and singer Kuanghan Hsu, American actor Jeremy Pope, and Italian actor Massimiliano Caiazz as the Fendi Global Menswear Ambassadors. The campaign showcases the new collection by Silvia Venturini Fendi, Fendi’s Artistic Director of Accessories and Menswear.

The collection pays homage to the Fendi Factory, a hub of innovation and fine leather goods in Capannuccia, Italy, exploring the relationship between man and machine; it represents a fusion of the past and future. The campaign, directed by Nico Vascellari, includes videos and images showcasing signature looks and accessories, such as the iconic Peekaboo and Baguette bags.

Hsu, Pope, and Caiazzo, who were front row attendees at the Men’s Spring/Summer 2024 show at the Fendi Factory, will now serve as global menswear ambassadors for the brand. Hsu, known for his roles in popular dramas such as « Love of Sandstorm » and « Someday or One Day, » will be part of the upcoming movie « Seishun18x2. » Pope, a multi-nominated performer, is set to star as artist Jean-Michel Basquiat in the film « The Collaboration. » And Caiazzo, famous for his role in « The Sea Beyond, » will appear in the fourth season of the acclaimed series and the new Disney series « Uonderbois. »

The Fendi Men’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection celebrates the « corporate artisan » with a focus on utilitarian elegance. The collection features patch pockets inspired by workwear belts and aprons transformed into skirts. The color palette includes mineral shades like burnt umber and deep indigo, complemented by softer hues of sage and limestone. Trompe l’oeil effects are incorporated, showcasing Fendi craftsmanship.

The accessories collection for Men’s Spring/Summer 2024 showcases the craftsmanship of the Fendi Factory. Styles such as Baguette and Peekaboo are crafted in fine leather, including Cuoio Romano and precious croco. The collection also features playful elements, such as Fendi Chiodo, a minimalist satchel, and jewelry pieces designed by Delfina Delettrez Fendi.

The Fendi Kengo Kuma project is an exciting collaboration between Italy and Japan, bringing together Kengo Kuma’s architectural principles with Fendi’s iconic designs. The project explores materials like waranshi paper, woven bamboo, birch bark, and Tuscan olivewood.

Renowned for its elegance, craftsmanship, innovation, and style and with the addition of Hsu, Pope, and Caiazzo as global menswear ambassadors, Fendi opens the chapter on an exciting and innovative new year.
