FENDI MEN’S SPRING/SUMMER 2024 COLLECTION

By Martina Conte

The FENDI Men’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi, Artistic Director Accessories and Menswear, is a celebration to the artisans of the future and is an ode to the Maison’s new adventure to the historic return to Florence, where precisely part of the Venturini family traveled from Rome to learn the art of leatherworking.

Taking place in the atrium of the FENDI factory, the fashion show focused on the relationship between man and machine, a bond that has always distinguished the times of the past and the times of the future; exploring the boundary between past and future. The collection and the fashion show commemorated business craftsmanship, recalling that the Roman Maison has always devoted time to the study of leather goods and beyond. Elements distinctly reminiscent of workwear are featured on the runway: cotton and leather pockets applied to work belts, the apron is used as collared shirts and skirts of various lengths over tailored pants and city shorts. Plays on proportions abound, from shrunken ribbed tank tops to high-waisted zippered pants and knee-length shirts buttoned up to the elbow.

The FENDI Men’s Spring/Summer 2024 accessories collection is a playful exploration of the « enterprise artisan » in tactile expressions of FEND Factory’s finest craftsmanship. From soft woven baskets and knotted jacquard « lunch » bags to raffia totes and rigid FF suitcases with tool prints that reference the craft. Designed by Delfina Delettrez Fendi, Artistic Director of Jewelry, the locker key pendants, « Made in Fendi » dog tags, « StaFF Only » brooches and 1925 hoop earrings play with what are the everyday elements of the FENDI Factory.
