While 2020 has been nothing short of a traumatic year for the French film industry, it has also brought to light a promising array of new talent. Among these young actors, the 21-year-old Félix Lefebvre is starring in Summer of 85, François Ozon’s latest film released last July, right in the middle of France’s two major lockdowns. In the film, Lefebvre plays Alexis (but call him Alex), a young teenager living out his first love story during the summer of his sixteenth birthday. The object of his adoration: David, a spirited 18-year-old played by Benjamin Voisin, the film’s second major revelation. For his very first leading role on screen, Félix Lefebvre won over the director with his masterful acting and love of the craft, which he has cultivated since high school, culminating in a César nomination for Best Male Actor alongside his co-star. Next up: Suprêmes, a biopic of the group NTM directed by Audrey Estrougo and shown at Cannes in July…
