FENDI AUTUMN/WINTER COLLECTION 2023

By Crash redaction

FENDI’s new collection was born from the direct inspiration of Delfina Delettrez Fendi’s closet and archives. Kim Jones explores classicism and elegance, always remembering to play with roles and gendered archetypes.
Each piece is designed to be worn in every way and traditional masculine-print dresses are transformed into more feminine and sophisticated forms.

Typical elements of work clothes such as overalls, aprons, and uniforms appear on the runway. More sensual elements also do not hesitate to emerge such as lace and red satin.
With a perfected spirit of punk, knitwear looks sharply cropped but with discretion; wool and striped sweaters also show up, worn unbuttoned and askew.
The maison’s history is again reflected in the study devoted to graphic motifs from the FENDI archive from fall/winter 1996 expressed in intarsia, along with Karl Lagerfeld’s 1981 sketches for the multipurpose knitwear.

Silvia Venturini Fendi pays homage to the sophistication of the collection and to the multipurpose sensibility of the house introducing a new bag: the FENDI Multi.
The bag’s shape has been engineered with the idea of being able to assume two distinct silhouettes. The same spirit and classicism is shown with Delfina Delettrez Fendi’s jewelry.
