LOUIS VUITTON X ARCHITECT FRANK GEHRY IN CELEBRATION OF THE LOUIS VUITTON FOUNDATION

By Crash redaction

For the first time, passersby and visitors will be able to enjoy 1989 Pritzker Prize winning architect Frank Gehry’s incredible installations by gazing through the windows of Louis Vuitton.

In September, Louis Vuitton shop windows will reveal Gehry’s sculptures surrounding pieces of their Autumn/Winter 2014 collection. Gehry’s architectural pieces for the installation were largely inspired by the sails of ancient schooners, examining a sail’s ability to transport, shield, and transform, resulting in a natural and complementary fit with Louis Vuitton’s like minded approach to fashion. Aside from the long history of the Louis Vuitton brand, and the ancient inspiration for Gehry’s architectural creations, the Vuitton windows will be the most modern they’ve ever been. With the use of the Louis Vuitton Pass app, visitors can scan the window with their applications and experience a multilayered experience with hidden details and information which is hidden from the natural world. The “Art of Travel” is looking very artistic indeed.
