RIZ POLI FALL-WINTER 24 SHOW

By Aicha NDIAYE

Riz Poli presented its Fall/Winter 2024 collection at the iconic Le Consulat in Paris.

Mainly composed of a palette of greys, dark oranges, and purples, the Fall – Winter 24 collection reimagines the fundamentals of a contemporary wardrobe. Drawing inspiration from the visionary works of Stella Zhang and Mahdavi, the designer behind Riz Poli treated garments as layers, introducing interval shirting or slip dresses between two-layer mesh, and experimenting with a variety of materials.

Inspired by the concept of ‘Emergence’, wherein each individual contributes to societal constructs, Riz Poli ingeniously applies this theory to garment construction. The collection showcases a bold approach to deconstructing and reconstructing pants, jeans, and denim, emphasizing fundamental components and accentuating details like collars and garment edges elements often overlooked but essential in elevating the overall aesthetic.

The color palette and fabric selection serve as grey matter additions, mirroring reality, emotions, and the nature surrounding us. Each hue and texture is meticulously chosen to evoke a sense of depth and connection to the world that we are living in.

Riz Poli stands out as a beacon of creativity. With its Fall-Winter 24 collection, the brand continues to redefine contemporary fashion, inviting individuals to express themselves boldly while embracing the connection  of our collective experience.
