FENDI MANIA AT THE 2023 MET GALA : THE LEGACY OF KARL LAGERFELD

In honor of the late genius Karl Lagerfeld for his exhibition at The Costume Institute’s Spring 2023 exhibition at The Metropolitan Museum of Art titled ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, FENDI celebrated his work and most importantly the bond between the house and the designer on the stairs of the MET. As Silvia Venturini Fendi, artistic director of accessories and menswear at FENDI puts it, this collaboration was “fashion’s longest love story”.

Silvia shared the FENDI table with fellow artistic directors Kim Jones and Delfina Delettrez Fendi (fourth generation of the Fendi family), as well as Chairman & CEO Serge Brunschwig. 

The five stars guests included Kate Moss and her daughter Lila Grace Moss who both wore FENDI Couture by Karl and Kim, showcasing the beautiful multi-generational relationships between designers and muses. 
Top model Precious Lee and actresses Gwendoline Christie, Christina Ricci and Song Hye Kyo opted for Kim Jones’s ethereal creations while actress / singer Suki Waterhouse and Huma Abedin digged into Karl Lagerfeld’s bucolic archives.
