KENZO REVEALS ITS FALL/WINTER 2020 CAMPAIGN

By Crash

Kenzo has just revealed its Fall/Winter 2020 campaign, a collection of timeless photographs that convey the past, anchoring it in the contemporary. In the beginning, before COVID-19 struck the world, creative director Felipe Oliveira Baptista had in mind a project of a road trip across the Açores, a beautiful region in Portugal, captured by Glen Luchford and his long-time stylist collaborator Jane How. With everything that happened, the initiative had to be modified as traveling became impossible. Glen Luchford came up with a new idea, one that was compatible with the challenges of the crisis: His photographs would be made at a distance. Photos from his archives were selected and the looks were sent to New York and Los Angeles where Glen photographed the models and talents in the same poses and light as the originals. It’s a recollection of the past and images that have shaped his career and the fashion world forever. The collection’s title “Going Places” is at the center of the campaign, starring Lara Stone, Rose Valentine and Lil Buck, where the nomadic spirit runs free.
