LANVIN REVISITS A CULT CLASSIC FROM THE HOUSE’S ARCHIVES: THE BALLERINA

By Crash redaction

Lanvin revisits a cult classic from the Maison’s archives: the Ballerina. This shoe has been a part of French culture and an emblem of French elegance as well since its invention in the late 18th century. The ballet shoe defined the style of the era, while the iconic LANVIN Ballerina gained cult status in the 2000s, and today the Maison decides to revisit this icon.

The new LANVIN Ballerina combines style and functionality, comfort and craftsmanship, French sophistication and Parisian casual chic. The new model features an ultra-flexible structure, an elastic band and an integrated mini-compensated sole. The back of the shoe plays on contrasts with a padded tongue with the Maison’s logo. Initially available in matte, patent or metallic leather, the Ballerina will be available in a variant adorned with a jewel or bow.

The iconic Ballerina will return in September with a campaign signed by photographer Théo de Gueltzl, whose surreal and ethereal vision invites us to rediscover this everyday icon.

The LANVIN Ballerina will be available from today in all Lanvin boutiques, on Lanvin.com and in selected department and specialty stores.
