SANDRINE PAGNY AT GALERIE LEFEBVRE & FILS

By Crash redaction

Galerie Lefebvre & fils in Paris and Aurelien Julien Collectible present the work of ceramicist Sandrine Pagny with her exhibition entitled « Big Mammas » open from the 17th of February to the 26th of March, 2022. French artist and graduate of the Duperré School of Applied Arts in Paris, Sandrine Pagny lives and works between Paris and Burgundy.  Pagny works primarily in porcelain clay, because of its plasticity and luminosity. Its natural whiteness allows for a more colorful result when glazes are applied, which is important for Pagny as color is at the center of her visual and technical explorations. The plump vessels are coil built and wheel thrown, often perforated and sometimes undergo up to six kiln firings to achieve the final product.
