TWO SHORT FILMS FROM FRANCE SHORTLISTED AT TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL

For its 15th edition, Tribeca Film Festival has announced today its short film selection including two notable French pieces: The Last Journey of the Enigmatic Paul WR by Romain Quirot and The Short Story of a Fox and A Mouse by Hugo Jean, Juliette Jourdan and Kevin Roger. The TFF winners are highly considered in the world of cinema and they are annually nominated for various awards. This year’s selection represents work from 23 countries, including France, from a record number of 3553 submissions. Aware of the evolving habits of cinema’s audience, Sharon Badal – Vice President of Filmmaker Relations and Shorts Programming – emphasizes the importance of short-form storytelling in Tribeca Programming, praising this form of cinema as the nest of new talents and avant-garde perspective. The selected pieces will be presented in eleven programs: a music documentary selection, science fiction, sports, stories from the Californian coast, New York’s shorts programs – one documentary, the other narrative – shorts about historical issues, global truths, international studies and deep lessons from the US and abroad. The Tribeca Film Festival will take place on April 13-24 in New York.
