UGG AND HERON PRESTON ANNOUNCE A COLLABORATION

By Alice Butterlin

Y/Project did it last year and Jeremy Scott the year before, now it’s Heron Preston’s turn to collaborate on a line of footwear with Ugg. The shoe premiered on the Heron Preston runway at Paris Men’s Fashion Week under slouchy skater pants. A bit more toned-down than Glenn Martens’ version, the collection is made of three pairs that have been revisited: the Classic Short, the Classic Mini and the Tasman. Known for his workwear influence and passion for security gear, Heron Preston has given that utilitarian touch to the Ugg boots with a yellow fluorescent tong and a bright orange coating. The lower part of the sole is made of clear rubber which finishes off the look. They will be available next September.
