CARHARTT WIP CELEBRATES 25 YEARS OF « LA HAINE »

By Crash

Twenty five years after its release in France, the cult movie La Haine, directed by young Matthieu Kassovitz, continues to stand as a symbol of class struggle and political divide. The beautiful black & white film, which came out in 1995, is the star of a new Carhartt WIP capsule collection, featuring t-shirts, sweats, beanies. In addition to iconic phrases from the movie, certain pieces are adorned with archive backstage images from photographer Gilles Favier, whose work largely contributed to La Haine‘s aesthetic.

The capsule also brings out an embroidered Active Jacket, identical to the one worn on the set at the time. This exclusive piece will be available only for the friends and family of Carhartt WIP, as well as the film crew. You’ll only have to wait until tomorrow to grab the pieces in selected Carhartt stores and on the website.
