THE SELECTS 2023

The Selects is a fashion showroom hosted by KOKKA (Korean Content Agency) with the aim of promoting and popularizing Korean young fashion designers. The Selects wants to give everyone the opportunity to share and experience a real true Korean fashion culture hub.  As many as ten different brands will participate in this edition, chosen for their rich growth potential and original design.

The Selects showroom will be held at 131 BOULEVARD SEPASTOPOL in Paris from March 4th to March 8th 2023.

SEOKWOON YOON

Seokwoon Yoon’s new collection, « Metamorphosis, » is based on the concept of the process of transformation and the many possibilities of development. As metamorphosis contains within it a process of progress, Seokwoon Yoon discovers the meaning of a new beauty, defined by the brand itself as incomplete, but moving toward a path of completion and rediscovery.
Emphasizing, therefore, this concept of development, Seokwoon Yoon uses raw materials and eco-friendly digital cutting techniques reaching a metamorphosis of the value and identity that the brand pursues.

MAISON NICA


Masion Nica is the project of designer Monica Koh, who focused on a brand that aimed at a different combination of colors, materials and patterns. Maison Nica features not only fashion but also fragrances and lifestyle goods; an experimental and practical style that transcends gender and time.
One of the brand’s main goals is not to dwell on a label, but to create an inclusive and unique space; with the slogan « Understand and love everyone, » women become more masculine and men more feminine, capturing the sensibilities of the opposite sex.

DOUCAN

Aiming to reinterpret the oriental fantasy of nature, light, and age, Doucan focuses on graphic works that shift and change in each collection. Each season, the designer creates distinctive dresses with authentic vibrant prints to create a fresh and innovative sensibility. Using a multitude of colors, the collections  are strictly personal and eccentric.

CAHIERS

The brand offers a collection consisting of different shapes and variations, where the protagonist is the woman and her elegance. Each piece goes to celebrate the female silhouette and her sensibility. Cashier aims to be a brand for everyday women who want to feel special and admired.

EN OR


EN OR promotes a different style by moving away from the usual shapes and figures offered. Focusing on a collection made for the comfort and practicality of being worn every day by women, the brand reinterprets the retro mood with a modern sense of connection.

JULYCOLUMN

Julycolumn, inspired by the « Arts & Crafts Movements' »of the 19th century, focuses on women and their professional careers, celebrating them with a  self expressive collection that considers every side of their busy and multifaceted lives.
The Brand celebrates femininity by the construction of the garments through knowledge of Korean traditional disciplines and techniques, blurring the lines between classic and contemporary designs.

MMAM

MMAM proposes an artistic collection where the protagonists are Graffiti. Graffiti does not find representation in its most classic form that we all know, but rather it is unintentional writing, defined by the Brand as « doodle » drawing.  MMAM strongly connects to the concept of growth and interpersonal expression; every parent has seen the first drawings of their child and this is how the Brand wants to express this concept of family connection, through the first language through each of us express ourselves in life.

VEGAN TIGER

Vegan Tiger is the first vegan fashion brand in Korea. Taking care of the environment and adopting ethical and sustainable production processes, the brand does not give up the uniqueness of fun and colorful silhouettes.
The brand’s goal is also to support a cruelty-free lifestyle by sending a deeper message of empathy, in which humans, nature and animals create a beautiful coexistence.

D-ANTIDOTE

D-Antidote is a Seoul-based designer brand that pursues a high-sensitivity street fashion style. The brand is based on the concept of « Cross-over, » where different values from the past, present and future intersect and are rediscovered and revisited. Part of the Brand’s name, Antidote, is about solving something that counteracts the poison, to purify people who tend to become infatuated with superficial and consumerist fashion trends, to instead meet consumers who are more directed toward something unique and edgy.

BMUET(TE)

The designer duo Byungmun Seo and Jina Um launched BMUET(TE) in 2017, focusing on ready-to-wear with rebellious yet elegant and sophisticated aesthetics. The brand reinterprets more classic shapes and then reinvents them with punk inspirations and stories.
