LOUIS VUITTON TEMPORARY RESIDENCE AT 100 CHAMPS-ELYSÉES

By Roisin Breen

Louis Vuitton announces a Temporary Residence at 100 Avenue des Champs-Élysées, showcasing the much-anticipated Spring/Summer 2024 Men’s Collection designed by Pharrell Williams. The immersive experience promises a journey through a multi-sensory universe, blending fashion, art, and music in a space that mirrors the diverse and inclusive « LVERS » philosophy championed by Pharrell Williams.

As visitors approach the Louis Vuitton Temporary Residence, they are greeted by a mesmerizing entrance adorned with golden Damier pixels, reminiscent of sunbeams—a captivating invitation to explore the distinctive motifs that define the collection. Once inside, guests encounter a visual feast with a massive Morris column spanning multiple levels, showcasing images from the fashion show on screens. The space offers interactive features, such as photo sessions in a Parisian kiosk and the opportunity to create personalized Louis Vuitton posters.

The first floor houses the « dandy club, » a nod to the collection’s sophisticated and refined aesthetic. Here, visitors can delve into dedicated spaces for ready-to-wear, the art of giving, perfumes, and the unveiling of the latest portable accessory—the LV Nanogram speaker in Damoflage version. Adjoining private lounges, adorned with golden Damier accents, lead to a secret room dedicated to the iconic Speedy bag, highlighting Pharrell Williams’ latest edition.

The lower ground floor seamlessly blends the worlds of fashion and music, creating a unique shopping experience combined with a recording studio. Collection pieces are juxtaposed with musical elements from the fashion show and the Creative Director’s artistic universe, offering visitors a truly immersive experience.

To mark the launch of the Spring/Summer 2024 Men’s Collection, Louis Vuitton is gifting customers a limited edition bag featuring the pixelated Damoflage motif and the iconic LVERS logo with every purchase. This exclusive case resonates with the bespoke uniforms worn by Louis Vuitton sales associates, complete with a white Damoflage Pont Neuf suit, a matching shirt, a gold LVers pin, and white LV Trainers—a fashionable tribute to the musicians of the fashion show orchestra.

The collection’s debut on January 4 coincides with the release of a seasonal campaign featuring basketball icon LeBron James. Additionally, Louis Vuitton embarks on a remarkable 24-hour « world tour » of the Speedy bag, combining physical and digital events from Shanghai to Paris. The journey, marked by lifelike inflatable Speedy bags and virtual experiences, culminates in Paris, the birthplace of Louis Vuitton.

Louis Vuitton’s Temporary Residence stands as a testament to the brand’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of fashion and creating immersive experiences that transcend traditional retail, setting a new standard for luxury fashion presentations.
